We are always in a constant need of supplies as it takes a lot to get the hedgehogs in our care happy and healthy.  For a detailed list, please see below:

Food

• Cat Food - Butchers Classic chicken flavour (available from Spar, 34 Spendmore Lane, Coppull, Chorley PR7 4NY).  We require 60 - 70 tins PER DAY to keep all our hedgehogs fed. 

• Cat/kitten Biscuits - Tesco complete kitten cat biscuits chicken flavour.

• Cooked chicken thighs or drumsticks - raw or cooked

• A/D Critical Care - high protein, high fat which can be bought online, in pet shops or in vets  (we use 8 tins per day during summer for the poorly baby hoglets).

Consumables

• Towels

• Dressing Gowns

• Fleeces, sweatshirts & polo shirts (no knitted items)

• Flannelette Sheets (no bedding or blankets, as we can NOT use these for the hedgehogs)

• Newspapers – a large number needed as all hedgehogs need cleaning out daily (we can NOT use shredded paper)

• Kitchen Roll

Medical Supplies

• 1ml and 10ml Syringes

• Latex gloves

• Saline – we use 3 litres per week

• 25 mm Blue Hypodermic Needles – 2 boxes required per week

Veterinary Treatment

We use two local vets to treat the sick and injured hedgehogs in our care.  Medical treatment is not cheap, so feel free to contact either of the vets below to make a payment to the 'Chorley Hedgehog Rescue' account, so the money is there when we need it.
